Theme Thursday Letters of The Alphabet
The challenge at Theme Thursday this week is to use letters of the alphabet on your project. I was out walking the dog this morning and we spotted lots of lambs in the fields, I was quite surprised to see them this early in the year. This gave me an idea and this is the ATC I have made. I stamped and coloured this Magnolia sheep stamp and used papers by Imaginesce. The letters for Baa are cut with the Doodletype cartridge on the Cricut and I used a small punch for the flowers.
I've put a photo below my ATC which I took this morning of the inspiration for this ATC.

Wednesday Stamper Stars Challenge
The challenge at Wednesday Stamper this week is to use stars on your work. I made this ATC using an Edwin stamp from Magnolia. I have stamped and coloured the image and then re stamped the star from his jumper 4 times onto patterned paper. I stuck one star back on his sweater and the other 3 at random on the bottom of the ATC. I used my Dymo for the words, which I thought were perfect for Edwin as he is so cute.

ArtyGirlz Circles Challenge
The challenge at ArtyGirlz this week is to use circles on your project and they have some fabby stamp to give as prizes. This is my card and it has quite a lot of circles on it!! I have stamped the Magnolia images and coloured them with Prismacolors and Sansador, I then cut them all out and stuck them to the card. The papers are from K + Co and the sentiment is by Autumn Leaves. I finally added 3 brads to the top left corner.

I Am So Excited - My Fab News
I am so excited as I got an email from Pauline from Magnolia Stamps this morning asking if I'd like to join their Design Team, of course I said yes straight away. I still can't believe it and I'm so thrilled to have been asked, seems like a perfect chance to buy a few more Magnolia's to celebrate!!!
Ismaki Sketch #8
I have based this card on this weeks sketch at the Ismaki Challenge Blog. I have stamped and coloured one of my new Tildas using Prismacolors and Sansador. The papers are from K + Co.

Tilda + Co Wishing You Well Challenge
The challenge at Tilda + Co this week is to make a card or a gift for someone who is feeling under the weather or is ill at the moment. As you may know Donna has hurt her back so I'd like to wish her a speedy recovery.
I have made a gift box for flowers using a wooden crate which originally held 6 little bottles of Prima flowers. I have stamped the Magnolia images and coloured them with Prismacolors and Sansador and then stuck them onto the crate. I printed the greeting off the PC using a Lisa Bearnson font and then attached it to a piece of wooden doweling. Finally I lined the crate with hessian and a small piece of plastic to stop the water escaping!

Tilda and Bird
I started this card last night and have just finished it off. This is my favourite Tilda stamp, I just love the little bird. I have stamped and coloured the image with Prismacolors and Sansador and paper pieced Tilda's cardigan. The papers I have used are from K + Co and I embossed the teal card with one of the new Cuttlebug embossing folders. I have stamped a couple of swirls down the side of the card and threaded some raffia through 2 eyelets. I then cut out 2 extra little birdies and added a flower.
I have just received some new Tilda's from Joanna Sheen, her delivery service has to be the best, I only ordered them on Thursday evening. I'm hoping to have a play with some later today but a couple have to go away as they are Mother's day pressies.
Hope you have a good weekend and get lots of crafting time.

Theme Thursday 'Warm Colours' Challenge
The challenge at Theme Thursday this week is to use the warm colours, red, yellow and orange, on your work. I have made this ATC, using Magnolia stamps. I have coloured the images with Prismacolor and Sansador and added some shimmer to his feathers with a Sakura pen but it doesn't really show up in the photo. The colours are also a bit brighter but the light is so bad here today.

Wednesday Stamper Bookmark Challenge
The challenge at Wednesday Stamper this week is to make a bookmark. I have been meaning to make for for ages with this Magnolia cat stamp and pile of books stamp, so this challenge has finally got me to make one. I have stamped and coloured the images and then made the bookmark out of K + Co papers and an assortment of fibres.

The challenge at ArtyGirlz this week is to use green on your work. I have made an ATC using K + Co papers from the 200 file set which I got last weekend and this cute little Tilda stamp. Tilda + Co String Challenge
The challenge at Tilda + Co this week is string. I have altered a paint tin and decorated it with images of Tilda + Edwin which I have stamped, coloured and cut out. I coloured the tin lid and edges with alcohol inks. The idea is I will put loose change in it to save up for new stamps!!! The papers are from the K + Co storage file with 200 papers which I got last weekend and the flowers are Primas.

An Award
I've been given an award by my S3BS sister Erin, thank you so much. I now have to pass it on to other excellent bloggers, this is so difficult because there are so many excellent blogs and bloggers out there but here goes. I give this award to
Annie,
Deb,
Leann.
Wednesday Stamper Valentine
The theme at Wednesday Stamper this week is Valentines. I fancied a change from the usual red, so I went with pastel colours. I stamped and coloured the Magnolia heart stamp with Prismacolors and Sansador and then sponged Distress Inks over the top to dull down the colours, I have also used the inks around the edge of the papers. I have added a Dymo sentiment and a little blue gem.
Forgot to say this is an ATC.

Artygirlz Stamping Challenge
The challenge at ArtyGirlz this week is to use any rubber stamping on your project and they have a fab prize up for grabs from Paper Artsy. I have used my new bird stamp by Imaginisce, a bargain at 70p! I coloured the stamped image and used Nestabilities dies to cut out the circles. I then added glitter to the flower center to match the paper and 3 gems for a bit of bling. These gorgeous papers are also by Imaginisce.
I'm not sure why the pic looks so dull, I think my camera is on the way out and I need a new one. The card is much brighter in real life.
I've decided to take advantage of a few minutes peace and quiet and get the card made. Meg has gone to her friends until Thurs, Kerry is at Alton Towers, Grant is playing outside with his friend from next door and Al has been swimming with his friend and they are now at the pub having lunch - alright for some. At least I got to eat the pizza I bought for his lunch!

Papertake Weekly Stripes Challenge
The challenge at Papertakes this week is to use stripes on your card. I have stamped and coloured this Tilda image and added a few gems to her pocket for a bit of bling. I made this card for my daughter's 15th birthday card as I think this Tilda is more grown up!
Ismaki Sketch #6
I have based this card on the sketch at Ismaki. I have stamped and coloured a Penny Black stamp and used Nestabilities dies to cut out the ovals. The papers are the ones I bought at the weekend , they all have a touch of glitter on them and are such pretty pastel colours. For some reason the blue flower looks a lot darker than it is. I'm not happy with this card, not sure why just doesn't do what I wanted it to!!
It's such a beautiful day, the girls have just taken the boys to the park for an hour or 2 so I think I'll go and do a bit of gardening.
TMTA Children + Birds Challenge
The challenge at TMTA this week is to combine 2 themes on your ATC, children and birds. I think this Tilda stamp is perfect for the challenge. I have stamped and coloured the Tilda and then stamped 2 more of the birds. The papers are from K + Co.
My children are on school holidays this week, so I made this quickly while the girls are still in bed and the boys were engrossed in Captain Underpants books.

Sunday 10 February 2008

Tilda + Co Mother's Day Challenge
The challenge at Tilda + Co this week is to make a mother's day card and to use something recycled on it. I have used my daughter's shoe box for the navy card. I stamped and coloured all the individual Tilda images with Prismacolors and Sansador and then mounted them on the card.

Crafty Shopping
I went crafty shopping twice today, once to a local shop just to get some plain cardstock and then after lunch hubby offered to take me over to Frodsham to Rosemary Merry's shop. They have had some lovely stock in and I managed to get a few bits, some gorgeous Spring/Easter Imaginisce papers and blooms and the K + Co 12x12 organiser file with 200 papers and 98 die cuts. I got a couple of little stamps and some more wires for the Bind It All. Then we went to the Yankee candle shop and got a jar candle and some samplers. They are early birthday pressies from my hubby for next Friday but I shall be using them tomorrow!!
Have a good weekend.
Scrummy Stash Cafe Whole Lotta Lovin Challenge
The challenge at Scrummy Stash Cafe this week is to use the theme of love in your work. I have stamped and coloured this cute Penny Black stamp and then added glitter to the flowers and 3 gems. The scalloped card is cut with Nestabilities dies.

Friday 8 February 2008

DCM Sketch
I have based this card on the sketch at DCM. I have flipped it, as for some reason I thought my card looked odd the other way! I have stamped and coloured the Penny Black hedgehog stamp using Prismacolors and Sansador and I layered it onto circles cut with Nestabilities dies. To finish the card off I added some ribbon and a couple of flowers and a touch of glitter to the stamped image.
4x4 Friday Wild West Challenge
The challenge at 4x4 Friday this week is the Wild West. I have used the Sugar Nellie cowboy again as he is so cute. I coloured the image with Prismacolors and Sansador and put Glossy Accents on the stars on his outfit. The greeting is printed off the PC using a Lisa Bearnson font and the brown star is a Magnolia image, with a piece of garden string on it.

Edwin Brushing Up!
I have made this card for no reason at all, I just fancied using this fab image of Edwin which Annie sent me today, thanks again Annie. I think this is my favourite Edwin stamp. I have coloured the image with Prismacolors and Sansador and I distressed the edge of the card with a Distress inkpad (don't know what colour though). The papers I have used are by K+Co and I have added 3 brads by MM.
I'm going to try and tidy up my desk now and move a few things around before the children come home from school.

Suzanne's Blog Candy
Suzanne at Slumber Cards is giving away some fab blog candy - a pair of the new Sugar Nellie stamps. All you have to do to be in with a chance of winning is to make a card which has lilac on it.
I have stamped Tilda and then paper pieced her clothes and mounted the image onto circles cut with Nestabilities dies. I punched and glittered the small circles from a pale lilac card and stuck them onto her top and added glitter to her hair bobbles. I finished off the card with some lilac gingham ribbon and 3 heart gems.
Why not pop over to Suzanne's blog and take a look at all the fab entries.

Wednesday 6 February 2008

Tara's Blog Candy
Tara is offering somebody the chance to win some fab blog candy. She would like us to make a baby card to be in with a chance of winning the goodies. I have used my Nestabilities dies to cut out the card and the stamped image. The stamp is by Penny Black and I have coloured it with Prismacolors and Sansador. I have added glitter to the flowers,3 little gems and some pink organza ribbon.
Why not pop over to Tara's blog and have a look.
The ribbon does lie flatter than it looks on the photo but for some reason it insisted on going slightly wonky!

ArtyGirlz Frames Challenge
I have made this card for the ArtyGirlz frames challenge. I have made the frame with my Nestabilities dies, cutting th scallop first and then using a smaller square to cut out the centre - it took me a while to get it lined up equally!! Cutting the frame like this leaves an embossed line round the inner sides of the frame, I'm not sure if this is that noticable on the photo.
The hedgehog has been coloured with Prismacolors and Sansador and I have added a little glitter to the flowers centres. The sentiment is by Hero Arts.
DCM Doodling + Sweet Sugar Challenge 1
I have made this card for both challenges. I had the image stamped and coloured for the Sweet Sugar challenge of stars and stripes when I saw the DCM challenge so I added some doodling. The Sugar Nellie boy is coloured with Prismacolors and Sansador and I have added 3 little black star gems. The sentiment is printed with a Dymo machine. This card will be ideal for my mum to give to Grant on his 11th birthday in March.
The Sweet Sugar challenges are for cards made with Sugar Nellie stamps, why not pop over here
and check out their new blog.

Papertake Weekly Flower Challenge
The challenge at Papertakes this week is flowers. I have stamped and coloured this Penny Black stamp and used my Nestabilities dies to cut out the squares. The papers are from HOTP but this is just about the last of the stripy and green papers, I'm going to have to try and find something similar as I love them. If anybody knows of any please let me know. Thanks.

Ismaki Sketch 5
I have based this card on this weeks sketch at Ismaki and I have also managed to do the option of brown and turquoise this week. I got these papers out yesterday for another card but decided not to use them, so it made the colour choice very easy. I have stamped and coloured the Tilda and then distressed the other pieces of card - maybe a little overdone, I can't decide. Anyway the card is finished and I think it's ok.
I got so engrossed in making this card I have lost track of the time, it's now 1.20 and I haven't had lunch or taken the dog for her lunchtime walk, poor thing must be crossing her legs!!

TMTA Cats Challenge
The challenge at TMTA this week is to use cats on your ATC. I have used a cat stamp and a chair stamp which are both Magnolias. They have been coloured with Prismacolors and Sansador and I have used a black glaze pen to give the cat a shiny nose and added 3 heart gems.
I did all the housework yesterday so have got a free day today, I'm hoping to get on with my DT cards and also the Ismaki challenge.
Have a good day.

Sunday 3 February 2008

Tilda + Co Romance Challenge
This is my DT card for the Tilda + Co romance challenge. I have stamped all the elements individually and coloured them with Prismacolour and Sansador. I added black glaze pen to the butterflies and a Sakura clear glitter pen (I think that's what it's called) to the butterflies wings and flower centres. The papers are from K + Co and I printed the sentiment off the PC. I love making these types of cards and putting all the different elements together.
Hope you are all having a good Sunday.

Another Penny Black Card
This is my new Penny Black stamp, she is such a cute duck with a fabulous hat. I have coloured the image with Prismacolors and Sansador and used the Nestabilitites dies to cut the circles. The sentiment is a stamp by Hero Arts and I added 3 gems for a bit of bling.
We only had a little bit of snow overnight and most of it has gone now as you can see from the photo but it is still very cold. I'm going to have a browse round the blogs now. Have
a good day.

DCM Red + White Challenge + Caardvarks Valentines Challenge
The challenge at DCM this week is to use red and white on your card. I found this quite hard as I really don't like red but I came up with this. The heart stamp is from Magnolia and I tied some raffia around it and added 3 gems. It's only an A7 card but I quite like making mini cards. I have since doodled round the edge of the small piece of white card and it looks so much better, might get another pic of it later.
Wow I just realised I have made 2 cards today and not had my Prismacolors out at all, this has got to be a first for me!!!
This morning I saw the challenge at Caardvarks was to make a Valentines card so I'm going to enter this one as I only need 1 Valentines card and I've made that already. Hubby says he's not going to make me one, he'll send me this one instead - I will charge him for it though!!
