Penny Black Birthday Card
Here is a quick card which I made this afternoon for my BIL birthday. The Penny Black image has been coloured with Copics and I just added a piece of gorgeous ribbon from East of India ( I love their ribbons).
Well all my Xmas things have been put away until next year and I've managed to write my cards and wrap most of the pressies, the cake just needs icing next week and then I think apart from a bit of food shopping everything is ready for Xmas!
We went to see We Will Rock You last week, it is fantastic, we had a great time, I can highly recommend it.
Have a good evening, I'm off to bed in a bit as I'm working tonight.

Friday 3 December 2010

Another Card!
I managed to get another card made yesterday although I forgot to take a photo of it, so I had to do it quickly this morning before Al took it to school. This explains the shocking photo!
I have welded another panel together on the Gypsy for the shaped card and added a couple of layers. The papers are Magnolia and the stamp is from Sugar Nellie.
Its back to work for me tonight and I'm not in until 23.00 so I'm hoping we don't get anymore snow or I wont want to go out!!! Have a fab day and weekend (I'll be sleeping through most of it unfortunately).

Wednesday 1 December 2010

Xmas Card
Well its been ages since I posted a card and I haven't actually been making many but as I 'm off work for a couple of nights I thought I should make an effort to try and use up some of my stash!!
The main card has been cut on the Cricut by welding 2 fancy panels together on my Gypsy and the tree is also cut on the Cricut. The papers are MME and I have just added a few punched circles which I put Glossy Accents on to make shiney. A very quick and easy card.

I hope you're enjoying this snowy weather, we don't have too much here. Grant and Alex aren't happy!!

Hubby and I went to see Madness in Manchester last night, they were brilliant although I am suffering with a bad back today - I must be getting too old for all the dancing!!!!!!!!!

Kerry's Birthday Card
Well its my daughters 16th Birthday today and here is the card which I made for her. The stamp is from Crafty Individuals, I had forgotten I had it and only found it when I was looking for something under the bed the other day!! I have coloured the image slightly with Distress Inks and added a bit of shimmer with Glimmer Mist. The papers are from Magnolia and I have stamped the edges of them with another gorgeous Stempelglede flourish stamp. The butterfly and border are made with Martha Stewart punches and I have added a Cuttlebug corner.
I am hoping to start another card today, depending on what the boys are doing although they are both out playing in the woods at the moment - I wonder how muddy they will get!!!!!!
Have a good Thursday.
I would like to enter this card in the following challenges.
A Spoonfull of Sugar - Punches
Simon Says Stamp - Punches
Papertakes - Shimmer

Simon Says Stamp 'Thanks' Challenge - Stempelglede Card
Well it's only taken about a month for me to make another card!!! I have made this card using a new set of Stempelglede stamps which I got from Quixotic Paperie. I had such fun making this card and messing with lots of long forgotten crafting goodies. I stamped the main heart image onto off white card and then stamped around the edge of the card with a Stempelglede flourish stamp. I also stamped the image on to brown card with Versamark and embossed this and bits of the white card with gold embossing powder. The music paper is also stamped with the flourish stamp and I have sprayed Glimmer Mist for a bit of sparkle. The butterflies and leaves are cut with a Martha Stewart punch and the flowers and pearl sprays are from Wild Orchid Crafts.
That's my card making finished for the day as I'm off to bed in a bit to try and get a bit of sleep before work at 11 tonight - still only tonight and tomorrow and then I'm off for a week!!!
Have a good weekend.

Cute Card Thursday 'Spots and Dots'
This weeks theme at Cute Card Thursday is Spots and Dots. I have used Magnolia stamps from the 2008 School and Travel Collection and also Magnolia papers from the Yummy Tummy Collection. The train is cut with the Cricut and Bazzill Card.
I'm not sure about this card but I haven't felt like crafting as I have had a some sort of virus and have been feeling yukky most of the week. Luckily I'm starting to feel better now although I have passed it onto hubby!!
My new Magnolias from the Through my Heart collection arrived from Sir Stampalot yesterday, they are gorgeous especially Wilma the Dog and I can't wait to make a card using this image tonight.
Have a good Thursday!!Supplies

Cute Card Thursday, My Time to Craft and A Spoonfull of Sugar Card
This is my DT card for the Cute Card Thursday 'Blooming Gorgeous' Challenge but I am also entering it into the following 2 challenges as it fits their themes, My Time to Craft 'Elegant Rose' Challenge and A Spoonfull of Sugar 'Open' Challenge.
I stamped the Magnolia So Spooky Tilda and coloured her with Distress Inks, distressed the edges of the papers and added lots of gorgeous flowers and a couple of pearl sprays.
I am still spending my time messing with the Design Studio for the Cricut which explains the lack of cards!!!
Have a great Thursday.Supplies

Magnolia Down Under + Quixotic Challenges
I've finally got round to making a card, instead of just playing with the Cricut Design Studio!! This card will fit this weeks MDUC of Valentines and the Quixotic Challenge 'Ink Up An Old Stamp'. I have used a Magnolia image which I think is a couple of years old and some Yellow Bicycle papers. I have coloured Tilda with Distress Inks and the heart has been cut with the Cricut and embossed with a Cuttlebug folder, Vintage Writing.
I am hoping my hubby will have time to collect a parcel of flowers from the Post Office before his School Governors meeting as I don't want to have to wait until tomorrow night for them!!
Have a good evening.

I haven't made many cards this week and I have been very bad at blogging as I have finally decided to get my Design Studio for the Cricut out of the box and have been spending the evenings playing with that!!

Cute Card Thursday 'Pink + Grey Colour Combo'
This week's challenge at Cute Card Thursday is to use pink and grey on your card, I must say I found this really difficult as I'm not a pink girl!!! I have used an old Tilda on my card which I bought about 18 months ago and have only just got round to inking up - how bad is that? The papers are also some old ones which I found in my stash and I have just added some flowers, leaves and butterflies. As usual Tilda has been coloured with Distress Inks and the labels are cut with Nesties.
I hope you will be able to join in this weeks challenge as we have a fab prize.
Have a great Thursday!!
