CCT Butterfly Kisses

We have a fab theme at CCT this week and its Butterfly Kisses. I have been having a bit of a change from card making and decided to decorate a canvas. I have painted the back with gesso and then made a stencil using a Tim Holtz movers and shapers die. I applied modelling paste through the stencil and then painted the canvas with acrylic paints. I added a little gold paint from a Tim Holtz paint dabber over the swirls and some flowers cut with an EK Success punch. I distressed the flowers and added a pearl to the centers. The background text was stamped on to tissue and applied with Mod Podge and the butterflies are cut with an X Cut punch and embossed with Fran-tage Shabby White embossing powder. I got the quote from the internet. I really enjoyed making this canvas and have a few more waiting to be decorated.

I hope you will be able to join in this weeks challenge as we have a fab prize from Whiff of Joy.

CCT Something Borrowed

I can't believe its Thursday again already, the time is really flying by at the moment. I hope you all had a good Easter. The theme at CCT this week is Something Borrowed. I made a little tag for my son's birthday and 'borrowed' a bit of garden string for it!! The image is an old Greetings Farm one which I coloured with Copics and the papers are Basic Grey. I am slowly using up some of my old stash and I'm having to get out all my old stamps to use because there aren't many new stamps that I like at the moment, which in a way is good because I can save a few pennies!

Have a good week.

CCT Brass In Pocket

The theme at CCT this week is Brass In Pocket. This stumped me for a while so I decided to take the word 'pocket' and made a card with pocket watches on it. For my card I have used Stampin Up papers and stamps. The pocket watch stamp and cog were freebies from a magazine. I cut the tag with a DieNamics fishtail stax die and added a button and piece of twill ribbon.

I hope you will be able to join in this weeks challenge as we have another fab prize. Enjoy the Easter weekend.

CCT Easter Parade

The challenge this week at CCT is Easter Parade. I have made an Easter card using an old Tilda stamp which I have coloured with Distress Inks. It has been so long since I made a Tilda card and probably just as long since I coloured with DI!! I'm not sure what the papers are because I have managed to loose the front cover. I have used a Martha Stewart  punch on the yellow strip and added a couple of punched leaves and mulberry flowers to finish.

I hope you have a good day. Today is my 21st wedding anniversary, I can't believe how the time has flown!! I forgot to book the last night and tonight off work though (guess who's not very popular) so I won't be seeing much of hubby as I will be spending most of today asleep.

CCT Something Old

Its time for a new challenge at CCT and this week it is Something Old. I have decided to use a very old Magnolia pram stamp which is one of the first Magnolia stamps which I bought. The image has been stamped with Momento ink and coloured with Copics. I embossed the white card with a Cuttlebug embossing folder and added a scrap of Christmas DP which I had lying around. Another super quick card!

I hope you all had a good week, we visited the Harry Potter, Warner Bros Studio Tour on Saturday. It was amazing even for me who wasn't really a Harry Potter fan, the sets etc are so interesting and the Hogwarts model - well I won't say anymore in case you are planning a visit as I don't want to spoil the surprise! In fact I even came home and downloaded the books to my Kindle! I'll leave you with a couple of photos from our day out.

CCT Simplify

The challenge at CCT this week is simplify. I have made another quick and easy card using my Stampin Up butterflies, punches and embossing folders.

I am off to bed in a minute but will hopefully get time to pop round some blogs before work tonight. We had a lovely time in Prague and it even snowed.

CCT Eye For Detail

The theme at CCT this week is an Eye For Detail. I have used one of the first stamps which I ever bought well over 10 years ago, I love this PSX cat face. Another of my very very quick cards!!

Super quick post because hubby and I are flying to Prague for 4 nights just after lunch and I haven't packed yet!!

CCT Love Struck

This weeks theme at CCT is Love Struck. This is a very quick card which I made for the challenge as I can't put my hubby's valentines card on my blog because he might see it! The heart is a chipboard shape which I have had for a very long time and that's about it apart from a Cuttlebug embossing folder and a piece of ribbon.

I hope you'll be able to join in this weeks challenge and we have a fab prize from Bunny Zoe's Crafts.

CCT 254 A Different Corner

The challenge at CCT this week is A Different Corner. I have used a couple of stamps on my card which I got from QVC many years ago and this is the first time I have used them!! The images were stamped with Versamagic ink and I added a bit of glitter to the flower heads. The sentiment is Hero Arts and I added a punched butterfly and a piece of bakers twine. The corner has been rounded with a punch seeing as my Corner Chomper broke.

Have a good week.

CCT Out of This World

The challenge at CCT this week is Out of This World and we have a fab prize from Rick St Dennis designs. I have used a digi image from Rick St Dennis called Gloria Glowbug, isn't she fab. I coloured the image with Copics and added some old Rusty Pickle DP which I cut with the Die-namics Fishtail Stax.

I hope you'll be able to join in this week's challenge.

CCT Diamonds Are Forever

This weeks challenge at CCT is Diamonds Are Forever and we have a great prize from Whimsy stamps. I have been using my Stampin Up goodies again to make this weeks card. I stamped the flourish from the Elements of Style set and the sentiment in Crumb Cake ink. I used a Stampin Up pen in Rose Red to stamp the Hummingbird image which I cut out and 3D onto the flourish. The border was cut with a Finishing Touch Edgelit and I added a little gem to the flourish. The white card was embossed with the Lacey Brocade Embossing Folder.  Another very quick and simple card.

Have a good week.

CCT Beat the Blues

This weeks theme at CCT is Beat the Blues. As I don't have any humorous stamps I decided to make a blue card. The butterflies are from the Stampin Up set Papillon Potpourri which I stamped with Aegean Blue Versamagic ink. I stamped and punched another 3 butterflies using the Elegant Butterfly punch and added 3 pearls on each of them. The white card is embossed using a SU Lacey Brocade embossing folder and I added some seam binding from the Ribbon Girl. I bought myself a Big Shot this week and I can't believe how much better it is at embossing card than the Cuttlebug.

I hope you will be able to join in this weeks challenge as we have a great prize from Whiff of Joy. Have a good week.

CCT250 Something New

This weeks challenge at CCT is Something New. I made a card, giftbag and decorated another mannequin using some of the new Stampin Up goodies which I got for Christmas to make a giftset for my daughter's friends 18th birthday. The mannequin is very similar to the one which I made before, just a few if the stamped images and trims are different. The stamp sets I have used are Elements of Style, and Papillon Potpourri. The decorative edge is a Stampin Up Finishing Touches Edgelit and the letters were cut on the Cricut.

I hope you all enjoyed your New Year celebrations. We got another dog on New Years Day, I have lots of photos but they are all on my phone and I don't know how to transfer them to the PC so I will add some later when one of the kiddies gets up!!!
Have a good week.
