CCT Anything Goes

The theme at CCT this week is Anything Goes. This is a Christmas village decoration I have made using the Tim Holtz Village Thinlits. I cut the houses from kraft card and then added the log cabin effect with card which I embossed with a ribbler and coloured with Walnut Stain distress ink. I cut the ribbled card with the dies and added to the houses. The deer and trees are also Tim Holtz and the trees are sprayed with Rustic Wilderness Distress Spray. I have used Grit Paste, Distress Mica Flakes and Distress Glitter to add the snowy effects and my hubby has kindly put lights in it for me.  I collected all the wood in the village where I live and I also made more villages for my mum and 2 daughters.

I hope you all have a wonderful Christmas and get some nice crafty goodies x

CCT Masculine

This weeks theme at CCT is Masculine. This is a card I made for my daughters boyfriend using Tim Holtz Distress Embossing glaze and Lawn Fawn die cuts and stamps. Very quick and simple but I love the results with the embossing glazes.

CCT Anything Goes

I hope everyone is well and keeping OK during this crazy time. I've been finding it hard to do much crafting as my husband is working from home at the moment and is using the only table we have in the house, it hasn't stopped me buying crafting supplies though! I've also been working as normal as I work night shifts in a supermarket so nothing has changed too much for us.
The theme at CCT this week is Anything Goes and I've made a start on a mini album using the new Elizabeth Crafts camera die set. I'm going to put pictures of some of the places we have been to abroad in it. The papers are from Tim Holtz and the stamped images are a mixture of Tim Holtz, Elizabeth Crafts and Kaiser Kaisercraft.

CCT Family

The theme at CCT this week is family, perfect timing for me as its my hubbys birthday at the beginning of August so I have made a card for the children to give him. I stamped this cute Penny Black image onto watercolour card and coloured it with my new Kuretake Clean Color pens. I highly recommend these as they blend so easily and have some lovely pale as well as vibrant colours. The 'dad' is cut with Tim Holtz Sizzix Alphanumeric dies and the bone and sentiment are from the Avery Elle Furry Friends stamp and die set. I doodled a border to the image.

CCT Angels or Fairies

The theme at CCT this week is Angels or Fairies. I have used another Hanglar image for my card which I have coloured with Distress Markers. I cut the card base with another Go Kreate die, and added some paper from a Tilda pad. The other dies are Spelllbinders and Tim Holtz and the sentiment is Hero Arts.

I really enjoyed making this card, its been a while since I used my Distress Markers. I hope you'll be able to join in this weeks challenge as we have another great prize.

CCT Light it Up

This weeks theme at CCT is Light it Up. I have used one of my new Go Kreate dies and a Hanglar image, which I coloured with Lyra Polycolors. The papers are Stampin Up and the dies are Tim Holtz and Spellbinders.

Not the best photo because the light is so bad here today. I had hoped to make the card a bit more elaborate but a combination of working extra and only having 1 night off and no heating for the past 2.5 weeks has limited my card making time. The engineer is back again sometime this morning so I hope he fixes it this time!
We had a nice day on Saturday when we went to Old Trafford to watch the David Beckham Unicef match, we all really enjoyed it.

CCT Animals and Birds

This weeks theme at CCT is animals and birds. I have made a very quick card using Tim Holtz dies. The reindeer is cut from double sided adhesive and is covered in gold glitter, it is so sparkly but it doesn't really show in the photo. The joy is cut from gold mirri card and I made the ticket shape from a rectangle of card cut with a corner punch.

CCT Food and Drink

This weeks theme at CCT is food and drink. I made a ticket shaped kraft card with a We R Memory Keepers punch and added some My Minds Eye papers. The image is an old Edwin stamp which I coloured with Lyra Polycolor pencils. I added some die cut pennants and a Tim Holtz scribble die cut. The tab is a Stampin Up punch which I stamped with some alphabet peg stamps which I picked up from the NEC a few years ago for £1.

CCT One Layer

CCT Masculine

This weeks theme at CCT is masculine. I made a card using a Tim Holtz image which I have coloured with my new Lyra Polycolors, they are so nice to use and blend really easily. The camera was coloured with just 1 grey pencil. I inked the edge of the card with Hickory Smoke distress ink.
The background is silver mirri card embossed with a Tim Holtz embossing folder. I have put slate alcohol ink onto the mirri card, which looks really effective but doesn't show up in the photo very well. The sentiment and filmstrip are also Tim Holtz dies.

My mum really enjoyed her 90th birthday and we had a lovely party with family and friends.

CCT Chocolate

The theme at CCT this week is Chocolate. I couldn't find anything chocolate related in my stash so went for chocolate coloured papers etc. I inked the edges of the tag with Distress ink and added papers and an image from Maja Design. The poinsettia and lace border are Tim Holtz dies and the fronds are Magnolia. The Poinsettia is cut from vellum, embossed with the matching Tim Holtz embossing folder and I added some gold guilding wax to give a little shimmer. To finish the tag I added some Fran-Tage to the background and glitter to the tree.

We have another great prize this week so I hope you can join us.

CCT Autumn Leaves

This weeks theme at CCT is Autumn Leaves I have made a tag using one of my favourite Edwin stamps and these lovely papers although I'm sure what make they are. Edwin was coloured with Distress markers and I have used quite a few Tim Holtz thinlit dies for embellishments. The word Autumn was cut with the Alphanumeric dies, the leaves are from the mini Tattered Florals and the swirls are from the Scribbles and Splats set. The scalloped edge is a Die-Namics die and the main tag is another Tim Holtz bigz die.

I still have a few crafty items to sell but have managed to create a bit of space and I have sold more than I have bought which is good and quite surprising! I also treated myself to a new set of drawers so now have a nice crafty area which is remarkably tidy at the moment.

CCT Monochrome

Well I have eventually managed to get something made for this weeks CCT challenge and the theme is Monochrome. This is a money wallet which I made for a work colleague of my daughters leaving gift. I made a white wallet from a template I found on the internet and then covered it with Maya Designs papers. The inside is also decorated but I forgot to photograph that. The stamp is by Stampendous which I stamped with Distress ink and dragged the colour onto the butterfly with a wet paintbrush. The flowers are Tim Holtz mini tattered florals and the swirl is a Tonic die. I am really pleased with how it turned out and plan on making a few more for Christmas gifts.

We had a lovely weeks holiday in Wales with all my children and partners and most of my hubbys family to celebrate his 50th birthday, in fact we have booked out the whole of the farm cottages again for next year to do it all over again!
I have also been selling lots of my crafting goodies as I have far too much stuff and nowhere near enough free time to use it. The money raised is helping fund next years holiday to Rome, which is my hubbys birthday present. Still quite a bit to sell but at least I have some space back again.

CCT Citrus

The theme at CCT this week is Citrus. I have left the Graphic 45 papers alone this week and have gone back to the Tim Holtz Bird Crazy stamps. I have coloured the bird with Distress Markers, the colours are Spiced Marmalade, Squeezed Lemon and Twisted Citron. The splats are a Crafters Companion stamp and the smaller dots are from a Stampin Up set. I added a Penny Black sentiment, another quick and fun card.

CCT Water

This weeks theme at CCT is water. I made a tag using some of the scraps which were on my desk from a previous CCT challenge. The papers are Graphic 45 By The Sea, the tag is cut with a Tim Holtz die and the little pennant is a Die-namics die. The only other things I've used are a piece of string and some burlap.

CCT Stars and Stripes

Our theme at CCT this week is Stars and Stripes. I decided to make a tag for a change using kraft card and MME papers. The tag and all the other die cuts are Tim Holtz, I love the Scribbles and Splats one they are so useful for backgrounds as are the arrows. The number is from the Alphanumeric set, I got the 3/4" ones as I tend to make smaller cards. The stamp is from Julie Nutting and I coloured parts of it with Prima watercolour pencils. The sentiment is from Autumn Leaves.
