CCT Die Cuts and Punches

At CCT this week we would like you to use die cuts and punches on your card, a nice and easy challenge. I have started to decorate a mini album to put some photos etc in of our recent trip to Rome. So far I have only managed to decorate the front but at least I've made a start! I bought the album from a craft sale a few years ago and have just used a piece of kraft card distressed with Pumice Stone ink to decorate the cover. The stamped image is from a new set by Tim Holtz 'Cityscapes'. The word Rome is die cut using the Tim Holtz Wordplay die, the numbers are from a very old Quickutz set and I added 2 punched corner tabs. I added some ribbon etc to the metal ring and 3 small tags cut with another Tim Holtz die. The words are stamped with some little alphabet stamps I picked up at the NEC a few years ago, they were a real bargain at £1.

Hopefully I will manage to get a couple more pages done at the weekend.

Cute Card Thursday '1st' Challenge

As it is the 1st October this weeks challenge at Cute Card Thursday is to celebrate a 1st with your card. I was asked to make a pink and girly 1st Xmas card about 2 weeks ago, so decided to make it for this challenge as well. I hope this is ok! The cute stamp is from Penny Black and the papers are from K + Co. I have added lots of gems and sparkle and some white flower soft to the stocking.

Tilda + Friends 'Cheers' Challenge + A Spoon Full of Sugar 'Travel' Challenge

This weeks challenge at Tilda and Friends is 'Cheers' we would like to see anything drink related on your ATC. I have used the Edwin with Cocktails stamp from Magnolia and some scrummy MME papers. The letters have been cut with a Quickutz alphabet set, I think it might be called Khaki?
I have actually managed to make a challenge card rather than just my DT ones this week and it is for A Spoon Full of Sugar's 'Travel' challenge. I have used Edwin with Bicycle (can't you tell I just love using Edwin images, he is fab) and some Cosmo Cricket papers.

Magnolia DT 'Summer Tilda' and Cute Card Thursday

This weeks challenge at Cute Card Thursday is to use fruit on your card and these stamps from the new Magnolia Lazy Summer Days Collection are just perfect for the challenge. This ice cream is fabulous and Tilda is so cute. I have put loads of Glamour Dust on the ice cream and Glossy Accents on the strawberry to make it nice and shiny. The papers, flowers etc are all from my DT kit.

Magnolia DT, Papertake and Tilda and Friends Challenges

Well I don't post anything for nearly a week and then just like the buses 3 come along at once!!!

The first 2 cards are for this weeks Papertake challenge, I had already made the Tilda and Horse card when my Magnolia DT kit with the new Lazy Summer Days stamps arrived so I decided to make another card using Dawns fab sketch. The new stamps are so cute and I love Tilda's new hairdo - I have just had a change to mine as well, short and dark red!!

Here is another Magnolia DT card using stamps from the new Chasing Butterflies Collection 09. I have based my card on this weeks fab sketch at Sketch + Stash and the card also fits this weeks challenge at Spoonfull of Sugar, which is to use die cuts or punches on your card.
Isn't this new Tilda gorgeous and I love the fab sentiment stamp, the new Magnolias are so sweet. I have embossed the yellow piece of card with a Spellbinders Impressibilities Die in the Wizard and the flowers are cut with EK Success punches. I have added lots of glitter to the wings but for some reason it doesn't show up to well, I think my camera is playing up again. Supplies

Here is another card using more scrummy stamps from the new Magnolia Easter Collection 09, which I have based on this week's Dutch Dare challenge which is green and yellow. This is not my usual choice of colours but I am quite pleased with how the card has turned out.
Yesterday was a sad day as we had to have one of our cats put to sleep, she had reached the grand old age of 18 and a half. I will miss her a lot as she always sat upstairs with me while I was crafting.Supplies

Cute Card Thursday 'Valentines' Challenge

The challenge at Cute Card Thursday is Valentines. I have made my card using 3 stamps from the new Magnolia Love Collection 09, the Tilda and Edwin are 2 separate stamps and I think this Tilda will look lovely on her own. These are the cutest stamps, the faces are so sweet and I love this sentiment. I will be adding some cards made with more of the new stamps over the next few days.

Cute Card Thursday 'Open Theme'

As this is the last challenge at Cute Card Thursday until Jan 8th there is an open theme this week, you can enter a card for any occasion! I have used one of the gorgeous Pollycraft elves (thanks Shary). The flower punches are from Stampin Up and the swirls are a Quickutz die. I am using my flower punches a lot at the moment and it makes matching colours much easier than with bought flowers. I have just managed to order 2 EK Success retro flower punches, as I am getting some money for Xmas, I just hope I am allowed to use them beforehand - well I will have to check they work ok, won't I!!Supplies

Spoonfull of Sugar 'Lots of Sparkle + Bling' Challenge
The challenge at A Spoonfull of Sugar this week is to use lots of sparkle and bling on your card. I have cut another card with the Cricut Wild Cards Cartridge, the swirly pattern is so pretty but I think next time I will use a darker card to show it off better! I have put glitter paper behind the cutwork and added a Tilda and sentiment cut with a Quickutz alphabet.

Magnolia DT + Spoonfull of Sugar Challenge 21
My latest Magnolia DT package arrived yesterday but due to a nasty stomach bug I only got around to opening today - I must have been feeling rough!! It contained some of the gorgeous Pink Collection 08 stamps, these are such pretty stamps and are helping to raise money for Breast Cancer Awarness.
I have based my card on Lim's wonderful sketch at Spoonfull of Sugar, I stamped the circle with the pink straws stamp using a pink Brilliance pad and the coloured them in using the same inkpad and a waterbrush.
