CCT Ebony and Ivory

Another super quick card for this weeks CCT challenge on the theme of ebony and ivory. The ties are a set of 3 Hero Arts stamps which I picked up for 50p at a craft sale and I stamped them using a stamp positioner which was also 50p so quite a bargain!! I have 3D the ties and  the white card is embossed with a Cuttlebug houndstooth folder and the sentiment is also Hero Arts.

Only just realised but I havent even cropped the photo! Oh well, I have been very lapse at blog hopping recently what with working overtime and my eldest daughter moving into her own flat but hopefully I will get time later today or tomorrow.
Finishing on quite a sad note the floods in Prague which have again flooded the lower levels of the zoo is such sad news. Kerry and I visited there in October and it was one of the best days out which I have had, it is a fantastic zoo and I only hope they manage to get the funds to reopen it. Luckily they managed to save the animals.

CCT Something Blue

CCT Something Old

Its time for a new challenge at CCT and this week it is Something Old. I have decided to use a very old Magnolia pram stamp which is one of the first Magnolia stamps which I bought. The image has been stamped with Momento ink and coloured with Copics. I embossed the white card with a Cuttlebug embossing folder and added a scrap of Christmas DP which I had lying around. Another super quick card!

I hope you all had a good week, we visited the Harry Potter, Warner Bros Studio Tour on Saturday. It was amazing even for me who wasn't really a Harry Potter fan, the sets etc are so interesting and the Hogwarts model - well I won't say anymore in case you are planning a visit as I don't want to spoil the surprise! In fact I even came home and downloaded the books to my Kindle! I'll leave you with a couple of photos from our day out.

CCT Love Struck

This weeks theme at CCT is Love Struck. This is a very quick card which I made for the challenge as I can't put my hubby's valentines card on my blog because he might see it! The heart is a chipboard shape which I have had for a very long time and that's about it apart from a Cuttlebug embossing folder and a piece of ribbon.

I hope you'll be able to join in this weeks challenge and we have a fab prize from Bunny Zoe's Crafts.

CCT - Snowflakes

This weeks challenge at CCT is snowflakes. I have made another super quick card using a Memory Box die and Cuttlebug embossing folder. The snowflake is cut in silver mirri card and has a little gem in the center and that's about it really apart from a sentiment and piece of ribbon!! I'm trying to finish all my Xmas cards as I have some new scrummy Stampin Up goodies to play with.

Bed time for me now, have a good day!

Cute Card Thursday + Magnolia Down Under
This weeks challenge at Cute Card Thursday is to have lots of glitter on your card and I have made my card following the sketch at Magnolia Down Under. I have used another of last year's Christmas Magnolia stamps, this one is Edwin Skiing and is one of my favourites. I have coloured the image with Distress Inks (again!!) and used some old Basic Grey papers. The label and snowflakes have been cut with Nesties and the Wizard and the swirl and border are EK Success punches. I have run the lighter green paper through the Cuttlebug with the script embossing folder and then sanded it a bit. The glitter is on the smallest snowflake and under Edwin's feet but it doesn't show up in the photo. I hope you'll be able to join in this weeks challenge as the DT cards are all gorgeous and we have a fab prize for one lucky winner.
Tilly didn't like the idea of going out yesterday, she got no further than a few steps from the back door, not that I blame her as it was so cold.Supplies
Stamps: Magnolia - Edwin Skiing, Hero Arts - Sentiment
Tools: Distress Inks, Wizard, Nesties, Cuttlebug, EK Success Punches, Glamour Dust

Another 'Different' Christmas Card
This is another Xmas card using an Inkadinkado stamp which is so unlike my normal 'cutesy' cards. I love this English Robin stamp (although mine looks nothing like a robin!!). It's the first time in over a year that I have messed around with inks and lots of different stamps etc and I had great fun and made a bit of a mess as well!!
The robin has been stamped in brown and coloured with Prismacolors and I distressed and stamped a Penny Black snow swirl stamp around the edges (this doesn't show up on the photo very well). The red card has been Cuttlebugged, sanded and then as it was too dark I swiped a white inkpad over the top. I stamped the same swirl over the background paper and added some lace and a flower and pine branches. I have used Glimmer Mists on the bird and the red card but it doesn't show up in the photo and the cream card is distressed and then stamped with a Hero Arts sentiment.
I have just treated myself to a couple more Glimmer Mists and 2 Tim Holtz stamps, so I hope they arrive tomorrow so I can use them over the weekend. Have a good Friday!
Supplies
Stamps: Inkadinkado - English Robin, Hero Arts - Sentiment, Penny Black - Snow Swirl
Tools: Prismacolors, SU Punch, Distress Inks, Cuttlebug, Pearls, Glossy Accents, McGill Pine Branch Punch, Flowers, Lace
