CCT - Water, Water

The challenge at CCT this week is water, water. I have used an old digi image, not sure where its from, which I have coloured with Copics. Not much else to say about it really!!

Hubby and I had a few days holiday in Wales last week and we took Alfie with us. I think he enjoyed himself and spent lots of time either swimming in the sea or in rivers! This photo also fits this weeks CCT theme!!

CCT Planes, Trains & Automobiles

This weeks theme at CCT is planes, trains and automobiles. I had to make a very quick card for my daughter to give to her friend who had passed her driving test and this was the best I could come up with!! The papers are Stampin Up and the stamp is from Great Impressions. I have coloured the image with Copics to match the colour of her car and added some Card Candi.

We have another great prize this week so I hope you'll be able to join us.

CCT - Pink & Green

This weeks challenge at CCT is pink and green. I have used some pink and green paper from my stash and another Stampendous stamp called Bird Post. The image has been stamped and embossed with Vintage Photo Distress Ink and I also used Distress Ink around the edges of the stamped image and the main card.
I have added more Fran-tage glitters, embossing enamels and Mica Flakes and coloured the bird with a very pale pink Copic pen.

I hope you will be able to join in with this week's challenge as we have a fab prize up for grabs. Enjoy the rest of the week and the gorgeous weather we are having at the moment.

CCT - A Touch of Sparkle

This week theme at CCT is A Touch of Sparkle and we have another fab prize to give away. I have used a Stampendous image, Butterfly Post which I stamped and embossed with Vintage Photo distress ink. I coloured the butterfly with Copics and added Fran-tage embossing powders, mica flakes and halo glitters. The edges have been distressed with Vintage Photo distress ink and the papers are Graphic 45. I love using all the Fran-tage range and seem to be putting it on nearly all the cards I make at the moment!! If you click on the photo you can see all the sparkle and embossing detail.

I am also going to enter my card into this weeks Stamp Man challenge which is to use your favourite technique, mine has to be Fran-tage at the moment!!

Have a good Thursday, I shall be asleep (hopefully) for most of the day as I was working last night!

Alfie

No card from me today as I haven't got round to photographing the one I made yesterday but I thought I'd share a couple of photos of Alfie instead, he's a Springer Spaniel. We got him from our local animal rescue home in August last year when he was just 5 months old, he is such a cutie but does tend to be hyperactive, at least it keeps us fit with all the extra walking! Luckily Honey (our 12 year old lab cross) and him get on well and he has just about stopped chasing Tilly the cat.

CCT 'Food + Drink' Challenge

Here is my card for this weeks CCT challenge which is Food + Drink. I have just rejoined the CCT design team after a 2 year absence and am really looking forward to been part of the DT again, thanks to Deb +co for asking me back :-)
Its a bit of a basic card I'm afraid as I was running late due to working Mon & Tues nights. I have stamped Edwin and coloured him with Copics and used some very old Paper Crate paper which I found in my box. The edges have been distressed and I added some faux stitching.
I hope you'll be able to join us this week as we have a fab prize from Whiff of Joy.

I'm off work today and am hoping to get another couple of cards made.
Have a good Thursday.

Back To Making Cards & New Look Blogger

I've eventually got round to making some cards but am having trouble working out how to use this new look blogger, as you can probably tell from my Blog Header, I can't get to text in the middle, can anybody help?

This is a canvas which I have decorated using acrylic paints, stamps and all sorts of other things I found lying round the house. I really enjoyed making this and got very messy!! I do have some photos of my cards somewhere but we have a new PC which I am struggling to find my way around, technology is not my thing!!

Hopefully this is going to work and I can get some photos later of my most recent cards.

Enjoy your Sunday.

Xmas, New Stamps & The Sunday Stampers Week 186

Hope you all had a good Xmas and got lots of goodies. We had a great time and I got lots of crafty pressies this year, Wendy Vecchi & Tim Holtz stamps, Distress Stains & a few dies!! Best of all I've had all week off work with the rest of the family. We haven't really done much but its been nice all been at home together for a change.
I've decided to have a change from the cute stamps and have a play with inks etc which have been lurking in my stash for the past couple of years and my Xmas pressies after watching a programme on Create & Craft with Hels Sheridan demonstrating, I loved all the items she was making. The tag background is coloured with Distress Stains and sprayed with Glimmer Mist. I over stamped with a Hero Arts script stamp and a Stempleglede 'Grunge' corner stamp with Distress Ink. The flower is Wendy Vecchi stamps stamped on Grungepaper, coloured with Distress Stains and the sentiment is another Hero Arts stamp. I really enjoyed making the tag which was then promptly nicked by my daughter for her friends birthday card, so it can't have been too bad!
I've just painted a mini canvas with Gesso so I'm hoping to get on with that tomorrow although I'm back in work tomorrow night just for the 1 night.
I am entering this tag into this weeks The Sunday Stamper, the theme is Anything You Wanna Do.
Have a good weekend!

Lily of The Valley Christmas Card

I've finally got round to putting another card on my blog! I've actually made all my Xmas cards now and about another 60 to sell but haven't got round to photographing them, hopefully later today or tomorrow.
I've used a Lily of The Valley stamp for this card and some old
paper I found in my box. The circles are cut with Nesties and the image is coloured with Copics, the flowers are a Marianne die which I bought last year and never used.
I am entering this card into this week's Lily of The Valley challenge which is to make a card for someone special.
Have a good Thursday and enjoy the lovely sunny weather.

At Last A Card!!
Eventually I have got round to making a card!! I bought myself this cute Me To You Bear stamp on Saturday + decided to get on with some Xmas cards, well I've only made the 1 but its a start!! The papers are so old, I've had them ages and the image is coloured with Copics.
Hopefully there will be some more cards in the not too distant future.

Not a Card but...
Last night hubby, Kerry and I did The Midnight Walk for the East Cheshire Hospice, luckily it didn't rain and we did the 10km in 2 hours! Here's a photo of me and Kerry after the walk - it was very warm!I've not made any cards since Feb and am seriously considering selling most of my stash as I just can't seem to get motivated.
Enjoy this warm, sunny Sunday.

Quick + Easy Penny Black Card
At last another card. I haven't been making any cards at all but my daughter asked me to make her one for her friend's birthday so I thought it was about time I made the effort again.
I have used one of my favourite Penny Black images, coloured with Copics, Nesties and some scrummy gingham ribbon (which is straight IRL).
Can you believe it but I haven't bought any crafting goodies since the summer and didn't want any for Xmas either, hubby is in shock!!
