CCT Beat the Blues

This weeks theme at CCT is Beat the Blues. As I don't have any humorous stamps I decided to make a blue card. The butterflies are from the Stampin Up set Papillon Potpourri which I stamped with Aegean Blue Versamagic ink. I stamped and punched another 3 butterflies using the Elegant Butterfly punch and added 3 pearls on each of them. The white card is embossed using a SU Lacey Brocade embossing folder and I added some seam binding from the Ribbon Girl. I bought myself a Big Shot this week and I can't believe how much better it is at embossing card than the Cuttlebug.

CCT250 Something New

This weeks challenge at CCT is Something New. I made a card, giftbag and decorated another mannequin using some of the new Stampin Up goodies which I got for Christmas to make a giftset for my daughter's friends 18th birthday. The mannequin is very similar to the one which I made before, just a few if the stamped images and trims are different. The stamp sets I have used are Elements of Style, and Papillon Potpourri. The decorative edge is a Stampin Up Finishing Touches Edgelit and the letters were cut on the Cricut.

I hope you all enjoyed your New Year celebrations. We got another dog on New Years Day, I have lots of photos but they are all on my phone and I don't know how to transfer them to the PC so I will add some later when one of the kiddies gets up!!!

CCT Anything Goes

This weeks challenge at CCT is Anything Goes. I made a very quick birthday card with a Snoopy stamp and a left over piece of DP.

CCT So Charming

The challenge at CCT this week is So Charming and we'd like to see your projects which feature charms. I haven't done a card this week instead I decided to decorate a mannequin which has been lurking in my crafty stash for about 6 years now!! I painted the mannequin with gesso and acrylic paints and then stamped the various Stampin Up stamps onto tissue with Versacolor inkpads which I then heated embossed to set the ink. It would of been easier to use dye inks but I specifically wanted these colours to match my daughters bedroom. I then stuck the images onto the mannequin using Mod Podge and added a charm, piece of lace and the crystally trim (not too sure what the proper name is !). To finish off the base I added a few flowers, a pearl which I coloured to match with Copics and a grungepaper butterfly coloured with the same inks as the stamped images. Luckily the girls love it and I have now got a couple of others to do for birthday pressies.

I love this stamp set by Stampin Up, the images are so pretty and the set also includes a fab swirl stamp. Hubby has got me some Stampin Up goodies for Christmas I can't wait to see what he chose from the rather long list I gave him!!!

CCT Red & Green

This weeks challenge at CCT is red and green. I have made a Christmas card using this gorgeous Stampendous stamp which I stamped the image onto cream card, distressed with Distress Ink and coloured the image with Prismacolors. I added various Frantage glitters and powders and some ultra fine glitter to the berries.

CCT - Snowflakes

This weeks challenge at CCT is snowflakes. I have made another super quick card using a Memory Box die and Cuttlebug embossing folder. The snowflake is cut in silver mirri card and has a little gem in the center and that's about it really apart from a sentiment and piece of ribbon!! I'm trying to finish all my Xmas cards as I have some new scrummy Stampin Up goodies to play with.

CCT - One for the Girls

This weeks challenge at CCT is One for the Girls. This is the tag which I made for Kerry's birthday. The tag has been coloured with Distress Stains and ink and the main image is Stampendous. I added a few flowers and pearls to finish it off.

Another super quick post as there's the dreaded housework to do and I really must get on with making Xmas cards!

CCT - Starry Starry Night

This weeks challenge at CCT is Starry Starry Night and I have made a very quick and simple card using a new stamp which I got from Paper Artsy. I stamped the image directly onto an A7 Kraft card and then stamped a piece of Stampin Up paper so I could cut out the star. I added glitter to the paper star, a stamped sentiment and some highlights with a white gel pen. Very quick and easy but I am pleased with the end result!!

A super quick post off me because its nearly my bedtime. I was at work last night and have 2 more nights to go but at least I'm off at the weekend and hubby has offered to take me craft shopping.

CCT 242 - Sketch

Well I've finally got round to making a card for the CCT challenge which this week is a sketch from Deb. I love this sketch, nice and simple which is about all I can manage at the moment!! I have used kraft card, some MM paper and a Hero Arts stamp. The image has been coloured with Copics and I have added a bit of glitter and some Flower Soft to his hat. Hopefully I'll get back into card making now!

I am also going to enter my card in this weeks Papertake challenge which is Anything Goes.
I had a great time in Prague with Kerry, its a beautiful city and I'm looking forward to going back in Feb for a few days with hubby.

CCT 235

This weeks challenge over at CCT is to make a different shaped card. I have made a heart hanger wedding card. The hearts were cut on the Cricut and the image is Penny Black.

Well that's it for another week, work and family things are just getting in the way of my card making at the moment!! Never mind though because in 3 weeks I'm off to Prague with my youngest daughter for 5 nights to celebrate her 18th, can't wait!

CCT233 Autumn Gold

This weeks challenge at CCT is autumn gold. I have made a card using Distress Stains for the background, which I have overstamped with some bubblewrap and a Tim Holtz scratch stamp. The image is from Stampendous and the die cut is Tim Holtz.

CCT Back to School

This weeks challenge at CCT is Back to School. I have made a little bookmark using a Greetings Farm Image and some SU paper. The image is coloured with Copics and the stars are cut on the Cricut.

CCT - Tag You're It

This weeks challenge at CCT is Tag You're It. I have made a tag with Wendy Vecchi and Tim Holtz stamps and Clearly For Art film. I have coloured the tag with Distress Stains and Inks and added some Glimmer Mist. I also coloured the ribbon with Distress Stains.

CCT Clean & Simple

This weeks CCT challenge is Clean & Simple. I have used my favourite Penny Black image which I coloured with Copics and added a few touches of glitter. 

Hopefully my card has posted ok as I'm in Wales for the week and we have no internet connection where we are staying.
