I hope you all had a lovely Christmas and got lots of nice pressies. We have a nice and easy theme at CCT this week, Anything Goes. I have painted a wooden 'Love' ornament with acrylic paint and then stamped a few Stampin Up images onto it. The butterfly is a X Cut punch which I have covered with Fran-tage and I have added a few paper flowers. I'm really pleased with how this has turned out especially as it only cost £2 to buy.

The theme at CCT this week is Celebrations and seeing as I'm so far behind with my Christmas card making I have decided to make another 1 for this challenge. CCT Christmas Catch Up
This weeks theme at CCT is Christmas Catch Up. I have made another Christmas card with my Stampin Up Joyful Christmas stamp set and a Stampin Up embossing border folder. I stamped the image onto Crumb Cake card, coloured it with white ink and then Stampin Up markers to get a very pale watery effect. The sentiment is also stamped and embossed in white.
We had a lovely time in Budapest, the markets were great and we managed a lot of sightseeing as well. Its back to work now and I think the next couple of weeks will be very busy so it looks like I'm going to have to buy most of my cards this year!

CCT Anything But A Card
The challenge at CCT this week is Anything but a Card. I have decorated a gift box which I got from Stampin Up with an old Magnolia Santa stamp. I think this is my favourite Christmas stamp and I use it every year. The DP is retired Stampin Up and I have distressed the edges with Vintage Photo Distress Ink.I coloured the image with Distress Inks and also edged the die cut circle with Vintage Photo Distress Ink. I have also added some Fran-tage to the image.
I have decorated the sides of the box with some hessian and lace and added a small tag which I cut with a Tim Holtz sizzix die. The message on the tag was stamped with a set of alphabet stamps which I got from the NEC about 5 years ago, they were a bargain at £1 for the set. This is the first time I've used them but I'm sure they will get lots more use now. The little jingle bells are from Ebay.
I really enjoyed decorating the box and am hoping to do a few more for Christmas pressies.
I am also entering this into this weeks Magnolia Down Under Challenge which is Jingles Bells and the Lovely Hanglar or Sweet Magnolia Challenge which is Vintage or Shabby Chic.

I have added a flower, pearl and leaves from the Tim Holtz Tattered Pinecone die.
I really enjoyed making this tag, its ages since I made anything 'vintagy' - is that a word!

This weeks theme at CCT is Sparkle, perfect for all your Christmas cards. I have used a Spellbinder bauble die and a Creative Expressions stamp for my card. Have a good week.

This weeks challenge at CCT is Candyman, we'd like to see candy or sweets on your project. I think its quite cute actually, how happy does the little cat look? and perfect for this challenge with the little candy canes. The image has been stamped onto watercolour paper and coloured with Distress Inks, I'd forgotten how much I enjoyed this method of colouring. I cut the tag from Kraft card and used an old piece of Basic Grey DP.

CCT Neutral Zone
This weeks theme at CCT is Neutral Zone. I have made a very quick and simple card using my Stampin Up Joyful Christmas set. I have stamped and embossed the poinsettia twice onto vellum and layered up the center petals. I stamped and embossed the image and sentiment onto a kraft card base and added a few pearls to the poinsettia. I saw a card very similar on the internet and just love the simplicity of it.
It's off to bed for me in a few minutes as I've worked the past 3 nights and am in again tonight plus I didn't sleep much yesterday so I'm hoping for a better day today. If not I've got 2 nights off to recover!
Enjoy your Thursday.

Have a good week.

CCT Hip To Be Square
This weeks challenge at CCT is Hip To Be Square. I used Kraft card for my card base and a very old Stampendous stamp which I have had for well over 10 years and has never been used before. The image has been stamped and embossed in white and I added a piece of DP, a punched scrap of white card and a ribbon. Another quick and easy card.
I decided not to buy much Christmas stuff this year so I have got 1 set of stamps from Stampin Up called Joyful Christmas and I'm going to see how many different cards I can make with that set! Here is the set I bought - wish me luck!
I'm enjoying a bit of extra crafty time at the moment as I'm off work ill with a injured knee and can't do much else. I was running in the fields last week and one of my spaniels ran straight into the side of my knee at full speed!

I have distressed the edges with Pumice Stone Distress Ink and then randomly painted Picket Fence Crackle Paint on the papers. I stamped a few flourishes and a sentiment and added a few flowers.

CCT Ebony and Ivory
Another super quick card for this weeks CCT challenge on the theme of ebony and ivory. The ties are a set of 3 Hero Arts stamps which I picked up for 50p at a craft sale and I stamped them using a stamp positioner which was also 50p so quite a bargain!! I have 3D the ties and the white card is embossed with a Cuttlebug houndstooth folder and the sentiment is also Hero Arts.
Only just realised but I havent even cropped the photo! Oh well, I have been very lapse at blog hopping recently what with working overtime and my eldest daughter moving into her own flat but hopefully I will get time later today or tomorrow.
Finishing on quite a sad note the floods in Prague which have again flooded the lower levels of the zoo is such sad news. Kerry and I visited there in October and it was one of the best days out which I have had, it is a fantastic zoo and I only hope they manage to get the funds to reopen it. Luckily they managed to save the animals.

CCT Can't Stop The Rain
This weeks challenge at CCT is Can't Stop The Rain. I have made a quick tag which I coloured with Distress Stains. I was going to add various embellishments to the tag but I really liked how the background turned out and when I stamped the Tim Holtz Umbrella Man image it looked like he was walking down a path so I left it as it was and just stamped the Docrafts cog stamp in the corner and a dotty stamp under his feet. The seam binding is also coloured with Distress Stains.
Have a good Thursday.

I added a little gold paint from a Tim Holtz paint dabber over the swirls and some flowers cut with an EK Success punch. I distressed the flowers and added a pearl to the centers. The background text was stamped on to tissue and applied with Mod Podge and the butterflies are cut with an X Cut punch and embossed with Fran-tage Shabby White embossing powder. I am slowly using up some of my old stash and I'm having to get out all my old stamps to use because there aren't many new stamps that I like at the moment, which in a way is good because I can save a few pennies!
Have a good week.

I have used a Martha Stewart punch on the yellow strip and added a couple of punched leaves and mulberry flowers to finish.
I hope you have a good day. Today is my 21st wedding anniversary, I can't believe how the time has flown!! I forgot to book the last night and tonight off work though (guess who's not very popular) so I won't be seeing much of hubby as I will be spending most of today asleep.

CCT250 Something New
This weeks challenge at CCT is Something New. I made a card, giftbag and decorated another mannequin using some of the new Stampin Up goodies which I got for Christmas to make a giftset for my daughter's friends 18th birthday. The mannequin is very similar to the one which I made before, just a few if the stamped images and trims are different. The stamp sets I have used are Elements of Style, and Papillon Potpourri. The decorative edge is a Stampin Up Finishing Touches Edgelit and the letters were cut on the Cricut.
I hope you all enjoyed your New Year celebrations. We got another dog on New Years Day, I have lots of photos but they are all on my phone and I don't know how to transfer them to the PC so I will add some later when one of the kiddies gets up!!!
Have a good week.
